| Work on the new Macon County Library
on Siler Rd., Franklin, NC continues. Cabin Creek Timber
Frames with the help of Joe Sanders Crane Co. raised the
timber frame center core, which consists of five double
hammer beam trusses and two queen post trusses, into place
May 2006. |
|
These timber frame trusses of eastern white pine span forty
feet. They were crafted by our timber framers here in our
beamery at Cabin Creek Timber Frames, insuring that the joinery
was TIGHT. Then one of the timber framers, Dave Taylor, used an
Adz to hew them to the look our client desired. These hand-hewn
timber frame trusses will be going into a custom home in Delano,
TN. |

Custom timber frame home crafted by Cabin Creek Timber
Frames entirely of Cypress was raised this October, in Blue
Ridge, GA., by the craftsmen who cut the frame. The crew
then enclosed the frame in structural insulated panels
(SIPS) that had the window and door openings already bucked
out in the factory. This saves time and money and
clean up on thejob site. |
