James Smith designed this house for his wife Ruth
McKinley. He and Cabin Creek Timber Frames designer and
Jims builder worked together to make their dream a
reality. Ruth and Jim have graciously allowed us to
share pictures of their lovely custom cypress timber
frame home with you. |

Let us now take you on a
tour through their lovely cypress timber frame home.
We will start in the kitchen & dinning area
and proceed into the great room, the main floor
bedrooms and bath . Then we will go up the stairs to
the loft. The TV viewing area is located in the loft
along with the computer -work station area. There
are two dormer bedrooms and a shared bath on this
floor.

is the ground floor daylight basement where Ruth has
the most enviable sewing room ever, the pool room
and Jims work area. Also on the ground floor
are the pumps and controls for the radiant floor
heating. The basement area is NOT included in the
square footage estimate given aboveonly the
timber frame. ) |

proceeding photosall were done by Ruth. Her sewing
room is located downstairs in the day light basement.
Not many sewing rooms have a fireplace like Ruths.
