hand crafted of Eastern White Pine for the homes
great room. They were raised June 14th, 2006 in a
new custom home built by Vick Construction and
Design Company based in Seneca, SC. The custom home
is located in Sunset, SC.

This custom timber frame home
will be going up on Lake Keowee, South Carolina. The
compound joinery GREAT room will be of Eastern White
Pine with walnut posts and braces. The dragon beams
will be of cherry.

The great room will house the kitchen, dining
and entertaining area of this custom timber frame home.
One timber frame wing will accommodate the master suite
complete with sauna. The other wing will make up the
guest suite.

Cypress Timber Frame Home in Blue Ridge, Georgia

This custom timber frame home
will be entirely of Cypress. It features two Timber
Frame shed dormers for the two upstairs bedrooms.
Also featured in this frame is a hammer beam bent in
the great room along with beveled corners that add a
unique architectural detail to this 3200 sq foot
home.

Carolina

Custom Timber Frame of Douglas
Fir that will make up the center core of the new
Macon County Library in Franklin, N.C. for Perry
Bartsch Jr. Construction Company Inc..The timber
frame core of the new Macon County Library will be
raised April 2006.

This impressive Douglas fir timber frame
features SIX double hammer beams. It also boasts a
timbered porte-cochere with a covered walkway to the
main entrance. When you talk about size, this timber
frame has over 35,000 board feet of timber. The smallest
timber was 4in. x 8in. x 5feet to an impressive 10in. x
20in. x 30 feet long.

This fine custom timber frame
home is based on one of Cabin Creek Timber Frames
time tested standard designs 'the Cullasaja.' It was
fine tuned and cut to meet our client's
specifications from Eastern White Pine.

White Pine Timber Frame Truss System for Custom Home
in Rogers, Arkansas for Wood Design of NWA

This 28 ft. wide roof system
was designed to sit on ICF walls. It features an
11foot x 11foot observation tower built into the
timber frame trusses. The gothic bracing over the
great room makes you feel as though you are sitting
in one of England's' five hundred year old timber
frame churches.

Cabin Creek Timber Frames worked
closely with home owner to design this custom timber
frame home. The custom designed two story timber
frame home features four decorative hammer beams of
Eastern White Pine in the main house. This hammer
beam on the exterior porch of this timber frame home
is stylistically different than the hammer beams of
the houses interior. The exterior hammer beam bent
will be of Cypress.

Gainesville, Florida
In cooperation
and conjunction with the historic society; a restoration
of the historic Scott Phiffer house. The Scott Phiffer
house is a timber frame home cut by slaves in the
1800's. The timbers were incised with roman numbers by
the original craftsmen to delineate placement in the
frame.

Timber Frame Home Incorporating vintage timbers -
Madison, Georgia
This custom timber
frame home is unique in many ways. The homeowner located
and acquired the timbers from an 1800's timber frame
dairy barn being deconstructed in upstate New York. The
timbers were then shipped on several flat bed trucks to
our beamery in Franklin, NC. The timbers were cleaned
then inspected for soundness' then their position in the
new timber frame was designated. Once cut the timber
frame was trial fitted in the beamery as we usually do
and their final position in the frame mapped out.
We
were able to use the vintage timbers in the decorative
timber frame bents of this new 'barn/house' new beam of
NC locust and hemlock from upstate NY had to be employed
for structural reasons. The new building is three
stories and over 3,000 sq feet of timber frame. |

Timber Frame Trusses - Augusta, Georgia
Custom
designed timber Frames trusses for the 'King and Queen
of Concrete' for their new formal dining room addition.
Cabin Creeks' designers and craftsmen worked closely
with them and crafted several prototype pendants before
the clients chose pendants that were turned on a lathe,
then hand carved for final detail.

Lofts' at Mills' Mill Restoration of 1890's era
Historic Commercial Mill - Greenville, South Carolina
Cabin
Creek Timber Frames was happy to partner with New South
Construction, Inc. to breathe new life into Mills Mill
located in the heart of downtown Greenville, South
Carolina. The old mill was built in 1896 and started
producing fine materials the next spring. In 1978 it
closed its doors as a producer of fine fabrics. It has
housed a myriad of businesses since then.
Cabin
Creek Timber Frames was able to replace the structurally
damaged beams with new beams of Southern Yellow Pine.
Dimensions on these new beams were a minimum of 12in. by
18in. as the span required. Cabin Creek removed and
replaced or installed new heart pine beams in the
elevator shafts and stairways. We were able to raise the
rafter line on the mill to accommodate a clerestory.
Cabin
Creek was happy to help restore the four-story, sixteen
thousand square foot factory with its Romanesque-style
tower. It is now able to shine as one of the features of
present day downtown Greenville. The Lofts' at Mills
Mill considered urban living at its best preserving its
strong ties to the past. |

2,500 sq ft custom timber frame home will be located on
Lake Glennville, NC. This timber frame home features a "core"
structure of Eastern White Pine surrounded on three
sides by ten-foot wide Cypress porches. One of this
home's unique features is a compound joinery entry-way.

This
custom Timber Frame Home features the timber frame
structure featured on our
Gallery
page, under the listing Gazebos and Pavilions. This 24
foot by 24 foot compound joinery frame of Eastern White
Pine will be the great room in this custom home. It will
join to the two-story, 24 ft by 48 ft, section of the
frame with a compound joinery "arm". The
remaining structure will be of Hemlock, featuring
naturally curved Walnut knee braces in the dinning room
area and Pear knee braces in the Master Bedroom.
- This custom timber frame
structure will be erected by our crew, and is
expected to take one week and a half to erect.
