John
Booker, Experienced timber framer. John
lives in the Highlands/ Cashiers area, at an
elevation of about 4500 ft. He attended Blue
Ridge School before obtaining his degree from
Southwestern Community College in Sylva, NC.
John works closely with Kevin to see
that all our work comes together like fine
furniture. The separate pendants and corbels
that need to be turned on a lathe are done by
John. He and his family live in a "post and
beam" home he, his father, and his brother
built in 1986. John has added several timber
frames to his family's property, a 16'x18'
compound joinery entry porch, a stunning gazebo
by the trout pond, and remarkable tree houses
for the children. |

up in Maine and Idaho. He had worked on many
stick built and log homes before discovering the

timber frames, he enjoys hiking, wood carving,
wood turning, and handcrafting fine furniture.
