Our Facebook page is packed with photos, videos, and designs. Join us there for regular updates on the day-to-day activities at Cabin Creek. You’ll see exactly how we take a frame design from start to finish.
To see a gallery of our latest completed work, visit the Cabin Creek Timber Frames gallery. Here, you’ll see our frames at the end of the building process, beautifully implemented in homes, commercial projects, and other architectural structures.
Cabin Creek Timber Frames calls Franklin, North Carolina home, and we’ve put our special touch on the place where we do our work. Our office is one of our very own projects, completed in a 14th century timber frame design known as a Wealden Hall that features a soaring ceiling. Joined with the office is our design center. The design center started its life as an exercise in compound joinery for our craftsmen, we’ve put it to work as inspiration for all of our design projects.
In addition to our timber framed offices, our Cabin Creek facility includes a 9,000 square foot Beamery (shop), where all of our wood crafting occurs. The Beamery is a structure perfectly designed for our work, offering a sheltered building space that is heated via a hot water radiant floor system. The wood boiler furnace allows us to efficiently burn waste wood (off cuts) from timber framing projects. Inside the Beamery, our designs take shape. We do all of the timber preparation and building, including preparing, handcrafting, and trial assembling each frame. We are also able to shelter and store each frame prior to shipping it to its final location.
